One of the best parts about booking a private hibachi chef is the ability to customize your menu. Every guest picks their own proteins, and you can add appetizers, noodles, and premium upgrades on top. Here's a complete breakdown of everything on the Hibachi Connect menu.

Standard Proteins (Pick 2 Per Person)

Every guest selects 2 proteins from the standard list at no extra charge:

Premium Protein Upgrades

Want to upgrade your experience? These proteins are available at an added per-person cost:

Premium proteins count as one of your two protein selections. So you could do Filet Mignon + Shrimp, or Lobster Tail + Salmon — it's fully flexible.

What's Always Included

Every event includes these alongside your proteins:

  • House salad with ginger dressing
  • Fried rice (egg fried rice, cooked tableside)
  • Grilled mixed vegetables (zucchini, mushrooms, onions, bean sprouts)

Sauces

Your chef brings a full sauce spread:

  • Yum Yum Sauce (the classic, creamy hibachi sauce)
  • Ginger Sauce (light and tangy)
  • Teriyaki Glaze
  • Soy Sauce

Add-Ons

Want to build out your menu? These can be added to any event:

Add-ons are priced per order, not per person. One order of Gyoza (8 pieces) typically feeds 4–6 guests as an appetizer.

How to Build the Perfect Menu

For a family party (kids + adults):

  • Adults: Chicken + Steak or Shrimp
  • Kids: Chicken (most kid-friendly option)
  • Add: Gyoza for the table, Yakisoba Noodles for the carb lovers

For a bachelorette or upscale event:

  • Everyone: Filet Mignon + Lobster Tail (full premium upgrade)
  • Add: Gyoza, Edamame, and extra Scallops

For a corporate dinner:

  • Mix of proteins by individual preference
  • Add: Gyoza and Edamame as passed appetizers during setup
  • Optional: Premium proteins for VIP guests

For vegetarians or dietary restrictions:

  • Tofu + Scallops, or Tofu + Salmon
  • All sauces can be served on the side
  • Let your chef know about any allergies in advance

Allergy & Dietary Note

Hibachi cooking uses soy sauce, sesame oil, and shared cooking surfaces. Cross-contamination is possible. If anyone in your group has a severe allergy (shellfish, soy, gluten, sesame), please inform us in advance so your chef can take appropriate precautions.
