Miami is one of the top five bachelorette weekend destinations in the country. It draws family reunions, corporate retreats, and international group trips year-round. And the city's vacation rental infrastructure — South Beach condos with rooftop terraces, Coconut Grove properties with courtyard entertaining space, Coral Gables estates with pool decks, Brickell high-rise units with skyline views — is built for exactly the kind of group gathering where private hibachi is the natural dinner format.
The setup is simple: your group is already at the rental, already in the mood for an experience, and already not interested in fighting for a reservation in a city where the best tables require two weeks' notice on a normal weekend. The chef arrives at your address, sets up on your outdoor space, and performs the full teppanyaki dinner for everyone at once. For 90 minutes, your group stays together instead of splitting across four different Ubers heading to different restaurants.
Who Books Private Hibachi in Miami
Bachelorette groups are the highest-volume booking type in the Miami market. The Miami bachelorette weekend has a well-established format — arrival Friday, South Beach and Wynwood Saturday, brunch Sunday. Private hibachi typically fills the Saturday evening slot, before or instead of going out. A chef at the South Beach rental unit or Coconut Grove house for two hours of live teppanyaki is the kind of experience that defines the trip.
Miami bachelorette groups run 10 to 22 people and tend to include guests from multiple cities — the bride's college friends from Atlanta, her hometown group from New York, her work friends from Chicago. A private dinner at the rental property is one of the few formats that keeps everyone in the same room for long enough to actually connect.
Family reunions are the second major booking category. Miami reunions often involve extended families from multiple countries — South American families reuniting in Miami specifically because it's the geographic midpoint — and group sizes of 20 to 35 guests are common. The private hibachi format handles a group this size more cleanly than any restaurant alternative in the city.
Corporate retreats and off-sites use Miami consistently for company events. The South Florida corporate market — financial services, real estate, hospitality — runs executive dinners at Coral Gables or Boca Raton estate properties as standard format. Private hibachi at a rented estate is the format that replaces the hotel ballroom while keeping the intimacy.
Art Basel groups are a distinct Miami booking type. Art Basel week (early December) draws collectors, gallery owners, and their guests to the city in concentrated fashion. Private hibachi dinners at South Beach villas and Coconut Grove properties during Art Basel week are a significant segment of December bookings.
Neighborhoods and Properties
South Beach is the premium bachelorette and group-trip rental market. Art Deco hotels with rooftop pools converted to vacation stays, Collins Avenue condominiums, and mid-century properties a block from Ocean Drive — virtually every South Beach vacation rental has an outdoor entertaining space, even if compact. For rooftop and terrace setups, the 12×12 grill footprint requires a space assessment, which our team handles at booking.
Coconut Grove is the residential estate market. Grove homes are larger, more private, and better equipped for 20-to-30-guest outdoor events. Pool deck setups at Coconut Grove properties are among the most seamless in South Florida — the outdoor infrastructure is designed for entertaining in a way that South Beach condos rarely are.
Coral Gables is the luxury milestone event market. Mediterranean Revival estates on Alhambra Circle and De Soto Boulevard, properties with dedicated outdoor kitchens and 30-person-capacity garden areas — Coral Gables represents the highest-quality outdoor setup in the greater Miami area. Milestone birthdays, anniversary dinners, and multi-generation family gatherings are the primary event types here.
Brickell and Downtown Miami are the corporate and urban group markets. High-rise condominiums with large balconies, hotel suites, and penthouse units serve corporate off-sites and executive client dinners. Indoor-outdoor flow at Brickell properties can make the setup more complex — we assess this at booking.
Hollywood and Aventura are the overflow markets — Broward County properties that serve graduation families and group trips that couldn't find space in Miami-Dade proper. We serve all of South Florida including Broward and Palm Beach County.
Kendall represents the West Miami-Dade residential market — larger lots, more traditional backyard setups, and local families rather than vacation rental groups.
Setup at a Miami Property
Every Miami private hibachi event is fully self-contained.
What the chef brings: A propane teppan grill (no gas hookup required), prep station, all ingredients, plates, chopsticks, sauces (yum yum, ginger), miso soup, fried rice, grilled vegetables, and complete cleanup equipment.
Space required: A 12×12 outdoor area — a pool deck section, a covered terrace, a rear patio, or a garden area. If your rental property has any outdoor entertaining area, it works. For rooftop or balcony setups, call us to confirm the footprint.
Power: Not required. The grill runs entirely on propane.
Cleanup: Complete. Everything the chef brought is packed out at the end of the dinner. Your property is exactly as it was before the chef arrived.

Menu for Miami Groups
Miami groups skew toward premium protein selections. The city's food culture — Nobu, Zuma, the established fine dining corridor — sets a quality expectation that the private hibachi menu matches well. Lobster tail upgrades, filet mignon additions, and the dual-protein order (shrimp + steak, lobster + chicken) are all common in Miami group bookings.
Standard menu: Chicken, steak, shrimp, salmon — every guest orders individually at the grill. Fried rice, grilled vegetables, miso soup, yum yum sauce, ginger sauce, plates, and chopsticks included.
Premium upgrades: Filet mignon, lobster tail, Chilean sea bass, wagyu — available for individual guests or the entire group.
Dietary accommodations: Vegetarian (tofu available), gluten-free, and allergen accommodations handled directly with the chef at booking.
