Tahoe Donner anniversary dinner at our property — 16 guests on our deck with the Sierras as the backdrop. We've owned this home for eight years and host every summer, but this was the first format that matched the mountain setting and the occasion simultaneously. The chef set up in 20 minutes, served filet mignon and lobster tail across the full table, performed for 90 minutes in the mountain air, and left the deck spotless. Our guests came from San Francisco and Sacramento specifically for the evening. Every person asked for the contact information before reaching the road. Already planned for next year's milestone.

Northstar-area vacation rental birthday weekend — 24 guests from the Bay Area and Sacramento. We rented the house for the occasion and the hibachi chef was the centerpiece event of the entire weekend.
